Easter at the Museum of Transportation

On Sunday we drove to Luzern to check out the museum of transportation there. Admission was 30CHF!!! However, with our bank we paid half price. I'm not sure if it was worth the entire fare, but it was a nice museum to visit.

Baby L started the day falling asleep in the car, which was a good thing since it was such an exciting day for her!

In the car museum section they had a parking garage setup with different cars to be brought down by robot to the viewing area.

We split lunch in the cafeteria and baby L had her current favorite - carrots (all over her face).

In the flight section baby L was thrilled by the turbine.... In her baby bjorn for a short time was very thrilling, looking left and right, and quick to the left, back to the right! Good thing she had her bassinet which we could cover up completely so she could sleep.
We also tried out a demonstration of the controls to fly an airplane, it was quite tricky to keep level!

Also in the flight section (in addition to the planes) was a ski jump which is at the far left of the photo, and yes, they had a young teen go over the jump (I just missed seeing the jump). They said you needed to know how to ski before they would let you try but how they tested that....

Also on display was a big section on the tunneling of the Gotthard tunnel, a long train tunnel cut below the alps. They had on display a huge cutting wheel that dwarfed Mic and baby L!
