Perugia and Florence

On the way to Perugia for a conference I stopped in Florence for a quick look at the Duomo.

That is a very beautiful building! Even with a cell phone camera I got some nice photos (at least I think they are nice!)

Perugia (2 hours north of Rome) was lovely, warm and very old. There is nothing like Italian cities in Europe! Then there is the Italian apero, sitting outside with drinks (they bring you free food to go with it).

One thing Perugia had was the minimetro. These were tiny, frequent metro cars that were oval and kinda looked like the cars from the bad guys island on the Incredibles. Here's a picture in one of the long tunnels (taken at the end of the tunnel, excellent photographic choice Carly).
