Christmas and New Years

This year Christmas started out with a yule log cake in Vancouver. I forgot just how much work these things take. My lab mates were the beneficiaries of my culinary skills and the fatty sugar overload (about a dozen eggs and a pound of butter in one of these babies).

At home in Stratford I was visited by friends from undergrad, this time with a new baby Gabrielle (more milk, less eggs and butter). So cute and tiny. These last few months have been full of newborns.

Finally, I flew back to Vancouver on New Year's Eve and made it to a house party at 2 minutes to midnight. Here I am with old dinner club friends.

So Happy New Year to everyone!
